Where we would argue that James did choke was in the aftermath of Cleveland's elimination, when he walked off the court without congratulating Orlando's players and then did not speak with the media.
The league has rules that require media availability, and many players have been fined for breaking those rules.
We're pretty sure Jordan just budgeted $25,000 every year at the All-Star Game so he could blow off reporters.
Commissioner David Stern, during an interview on ESPN Radio on Tuesday, didn't rule out the possibility of a fine, saying he wanted to speak with James.
But an NBA spokesman reportedly said in another ESPN Radio interview that James would not be fined because he hasn't been a problem in the past.
So rules aren't necessarily rules after all. What a surprise.
