People with emphysema can breathe on their own. They receive suplemental oxygen, like folks with sleep apnea.

Well, according to me if someone is being kept alive by something they cannot do for themselves they have the right to refuse that something.

Another example of the mainstream media distorting facts to suit their own agendas! Tom Delay's father was in a coma and on a ventilator. More importantly, there was no dispute among the family members as to what should be done. The father died within minutes of being taken off the ventilator - he wasn't starved to death over two weeks!!
