The Sonic big is Tom Burleson. Who is the Laker with the ball? Based on basketball reference, it's one of these guys:

I think it's Cornell Warner.
I don't think it's Cazzie Russell either. Based on looking at the rosters in basketball reference, this appears to be him in the Warrior uni in this pic, and I think that's Gar Heard for the Sonics as well:
The one on the bottom looks more like Mike Bantom than Gar Heard. I've seen Bantom interviewed for specials on the '72 Olympic team and that looks like him.
Yeah, it's Bantom in the green during warmups and Heard in the yellow jersey playing the Warriors. They both wore #40, but based on the jersey styles and when they played, that's got to be who it is.
Can't find a picture of Marv Roberts. Both Cornell Warner and Zelmo Beaty look like that guy.
