Man I would love to go to them things. How do you get into E3?
I can't believe somebody in that article liked Project Natal. That is so lame. "OOh look at me, I'm holding an imaginary steering wheel!! VROOM VROOM!" Get the out of here with that .
Scribblenauts.
That's right, a DS game beat out Mass Effect 2, Forza 3, CoD: MW, and many other games to win best of E3.
Amazing.

I guess I should be impressed by the ability to summon random objects that look like they've been drawn by a 5 year old. But I'm not.
I'm being harsh, but c'mon. I'll go over t omy friend's house this fall, if I like it for more than 20 minutes, I'll buy a Wii and sell by other consoles.
Some gamers like les where you aren't blowing the head off something or throwing a ball around. I guess that's not you. Sorry it's not "mature" enough for your developed tastes.![]()

Damn, Left 4 Dead 2 sounds freaking awesome. I can't wait to get to play this game.
Mass Effect 2, G.O.W. 3, Assassins Creed 2, Alan Wake, Uncharted 2, Halo 3:ODST, damn, so many games are coming out that I want.

And the new game from Shadow Of the Colossus makers Ico looks amazing as well, The Last Guardian.
GoW 3 is gonna be the best SP game ever.
It does look absolutely ridiculous. I hope they make the way you attack a little more innovative.
Innovation is good and everything but I seriously see that game becoming real old, real fast. I mean, how much are you going to spend playing a game that looks like something out of the early 90s graphics wise? I'm not knocking the idea behind it. I think its quite fresh, but I don't think it stacks up with the games it beat. Not by a long shot.
Have you played it?
If not, what's the point of what you're saying? You think a DS le got "Best of E3" (the largest gaming event in the WORLD) because it's a gimmick and only fun for 5 minutes?
Judging something before you've played it is ridiculous.
I don't get that logic. So if I had said that I was totally psyched for that game, would you be saying the same thing? Would you say I can't believe the game was going to awesome because I hadn't played it?
The game doesn't simply strike me as the most anticipated game in 2009. Just my opinion.
I only saw a short video of the mgs game for 360. I wonder what that's going to be like. Looks like what's his face is going to be the main character.
There's a distinct difference. If you were psyched for the game, you'd be willing to give it a chance BEFORE judging it to immediately be not worth your time. If you're a gamer, it shouldn't matter what it "looks like", only whether it's actually fun to play or not. And I think there's a distinct group of gamers that only like to play "adult" les. Which is interesting, considering this all started with a plumber jumping on turtles.
By that same token, you can be just as biased if you were really psyched for that game, willing to give the game the benefit of the doubt more often than not. I'm not sure where I criticized the maturity of the game, I have no problem with the game's targeted audience. I just don't think the concept will have as much longevity.
Anyways, it all doesn't matter. I fully admitted in my initial post I was being harsh and I was serious about trying the game out. I just can't get myself as hyped up for this game as I can for others. I don't think that makes me overly biased compared to a person really psyched about it.
I think "Best of E3" is a subjective le. I've read plenty of reviews of the game, and know all the reasons why those people chose it. Its new, its fresh and original. Fine. That doesn't mean its going to be your cup of tea, or mine. In fact, I know myself pretty well and I can already tell you, I would get bored of that game so quick it would not be worth the cash it would cost me to buy it.
I'm sort of feeling the same sentiment.
Video games in general are losing their luster with me, because of the fact that they're not what they used to be up until the PSX/N64 era. Mostly due to the fact that graphics are coming over two things notably:
1. Replay Value
2. Story
And also to some extent the length of the game, as well as things you can do in the game and the gameplay itself.
Video games in this era are all just multiplayer online games, there hasn't been a game in the PS2/Xbox/Gamecube era and so on where I've sat down by myself for like 50+hours and played it, not gotten bored and there's still to do and find out.
I mean I logged over 35 hours in SFA3, a fighting game, and still wasn't bored of it for PS1.
