    Saturday and the experience sucked.

Beautiful ballpark to be sure, but it's built like a tall tube with no allowance for air to flow through.

The flags on top were blowing straight out but I could have thrown a napkin in the air and it would have fallen straight down.

It must have been about 95 degrees still at 9pm and the 1 hour 1/2 light delay made us that much more miserable. We didn't even want to stay for the Reckless Kelly concert. We just wanted to go back to the hotel and jump in the pool.

I also was disappointed in the scoreboard set up. No sign of players' batting averages anywhere and no sign of a radar gun showing pitch speed.

    Never going again.

You sure you were at Rangers Ballpark? Pitch speed is located on the ribbon board of the homerun porch in bright ass colors as well as in left field right below the diamond club. BA is always shown on the CF scoreboard and now with the new ribbon boards its shown on both ends....

I still got the tix to mail in so that they'll give me two more free for the 7/5 game to make up for the light delay. I was sitting in left field right behind Pierre.

if you say they show those things, I'll take your word for it. Just wasn't clear to me where they were like the score, pitch count, lob, errors, etc were on the ribbon board.

Maybe if you're a pussy who whines about not being in a perfectly conditioned environment while watching baseball, you might hate The Temple. If you suck it up like a man, you'll realize that The Temple is the best ballpark in America.

I've never had a bad time at The Temple. Except once when they got curbstomped by the Orioles 14-2 back in 97 or so.

I'll be there with my family, taking my nephews to their first-ever game next month. It's been a couple of years since my last game but I don't remember it being nearly as bad as you say, and I was there for a doubleheader -- in August.

    naw, Arlington Stadium was better.

the Rangers will never get great pitching there. The fences are short and the ing humidity sucks ass. It's a batter's field.

Minute Maid kicks it's ass and it's not even close.

well, like I said, the lights being out for an hour and a half didnt help.

neither did the $8 beer and $4.50 water.

Welcome to every sport's franchise's prices.

Spurs water I think is 4 however.

It costs alot of money to run a damn concessions operation, people don't seem to understand that.

huh? exactly how does it cost more to run some little beer booth at the ballpark than it does a bar that charges $3 or so for a beer?

me being from Tech has nothing to do with the ballpark sucking.

of course a dumbass dallas fan would get an erection after typing the word temple.

it's practically brand new, but it's a craphole.

well, you can order from the seats at Minute Maid. It was nice to have my greasy sloppy ass nachos brought to me. They don't have potties in the seats yet though.

I've only been to the Arlington once, last year... was a Saturday evening game in August with a 6pm start time. It was 105º at game time and I was terrified about baking in there. We were 3rd row down the 3rd baseline between 3rd and the wall and I was amazed that there was a breeze down there. It was no where near as bad as I would have expected.

I enjoyed the stadium but I didn't get much of a chance to walk around the entire thing. We just stayed in that corner of the stadium really.
