Would gladly take him back, but way out of our price range.
He will get more than the full MLE.
I look forward to seeing where Hedo signs.
Exactly, he already gets more then the MLE, and there's no way he takes a pay cut this summer
His numbers once again went down in the playoffs, but got bailed out by hitting some big shots. He still doesnt post up enough, and takes dumb shots like a fade away 3. He might be worth 8 million a year, but he is looking for 10-11.
Hedo will opt out of his contract and become a free agent and will want at least $10 million a season.
http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sport...,4935942.storySeveral general managers and agents in the NBA believe that the Portland Trail Blazers — a rising club like the Magic — might offer the stiffest compe ion to sign Turkoglu. The Detroit Pistons, Toronto Raptors and Atlanta Hawks also have salary-cap room to put Turkoglu in play.
Turkoglu, 30, who has one year left at $7.3 million on his six-year, $36 million contract, is believed to be asking for at least $10 million a season.

Splitter and a first would make sense to get Batum ... but Pritchard isn't going to trade him to San Antonio for any price.
i wouldnt deal splitter just yet, can you smell Scola 2.0??
Outlaw > Batum for the blazers... I'd be happy stealing either... even Fernandez...
I don't want Batum for that price. Splitter could be a potential 7 foot starting center, plus a first round pick. No thank you. I would consider Anthony Randolph from Golden state, but still no.
uhhh if GS would trade Randolph for Splitter and a first you take that trade in a heartbeat.
Blazers have Roy, Rudy, Webster, Hedo, Outlaw and Batum to play SG/SF. Even if Outlaw will play some PF and Roy can play some PG, that's too much.
Rudy isn't happy and I'm quite sure other will soon join him.
Blazers need to do some trade. I don't see them doing a trade directly with Spurs but they could end up getting an interesting part in a three way trade.
A third team could be more interested in a future first than in Batum.
And I wouldn't give up both Splitter and a first for Batum.
Bruno how good is Webster? I wonder if he may end up being the odd man out in all this...
He has the highest payroll minus Hedo. I imagine he's the odd man out.
He was pretty good a couple of years ago then he has been hit by injuries ever since getting a contract I believe.
He missed the whole last year because of a stress fracture (he comes back too quickly like Manu).
If he is healthy again, he is a good young player. He isn't a good defender but he is a great shooter.
I would take Webster for Splitter..
Trade with the Blazers? Annnnnnnnnnnnnyyyyyyyyyyyyythinnnnnnnnnngggggggggg ggggg issssssssssssssssssssssss possssssssssssssssssssssible
Though some reports indicated the deal was done, Turkoglu's agent, Lon Babby, cautioned that details were still being finalized Friday. But a high-level coaching source with direct knowledge of the situation said those details were minor and that Turkoglu, a 30-year-old forward who is one of the most versatile players in the game, will be joining the Blazers.
Portland's main compe ion for Turkoglu, the Toronto Raptors, are indicating that they've decided to back away from a bidding war and focus on re-signing their own free agents, Shawn Marion and Carlos Delfino. Both Marion and Delfino are close to agreements with Toronto, a high-ranking source with knowledge of those discussions said. Delfino is closer than Marion, the person said, due to ongoing disagreement about his value...

According to ESPN's Henry Abbott, swingman Hedo Turkoglu has reached an agreement in principle to join the Portland Trailblazers.
The arrival of Turkoglu will put the Blazers on a small list of teams that will be picked to compete with the Lakers for the Western Conference le. His versatility combined with the talent surrounding him on the roster will make him a multi-category threat once again.
Already posted in the NBA forum
