Props to xcoriate & tsb2000 for their initial heads-up on Andrew Bogut. Lots of people questioned him being projected "generously" at the 19th pick in the 2005 NBA draft. They probably deserve a spur under their name or something creative.

Limited props to those who soon followed, and possible limited props to AHF who stuck a flag in the ground and declared Bogut would be the 1st pick...even though that was only 3-4 weeks ago. We'll reserve the accolades for AHF until after the draft.

Thx! I'm a bit biased as a "Utah Man", but I knew Bogut's story of how he got to Utah. He was going to go to Europe and play pro ball, but Majerus convinced him to come to Utah to play in college. Majerus told Bogut he would get him ready for the NBA. Looks like Majerus (and Giacoletti) did his job.

Is Bogut really 7 feet tall? I saw a player rating service recently that listed him at 6-10.

I saw Bogut in Tucson. A guy from Utah said he's not really 7 foot, more like 6-10 or 6-11.

He's a lottery pick, but he's not going to be dominant or even close to it.

He's about the size of TD, when they were matched up at the olynpics the height was almost identical. So take that for what it is. Is TD even 6-11?

Oh and thanks for the props Solid D but I'm guilty of the whole bias thing as well. Shame he couldn't have stayed a late first round pick and bust out in the nba

Spurs would have had a chance at him then
