Most Spanish people are Catholic. So this is REALLLLY big for them.![]()
I was looking forward to seeing the Spurs play tonight on Telemundo in _allas, but they're covering the Pope's death "exclusively."
I can get news coverage of the Pope's death on 6 other channels, I don't need a seventh![]()

NBA TV is almost as bad, and they're actually showing the game.
WTF? Andre Aldridge, Fred Carter, and Gail Goodrich are all sitting in a living room watching a big screen TV, talking almost nonstop over the game like three guys sitting around the crib.
Half the time, we don't have the game on the screen, but we are watching THEM watch the game. It's the worst broadcast I've ever seen.
It's like the NBA version of Mystery Science Theater 3000.
What happened to them just showing the regular feed from the game?
I agree Aggie, that's what happened here in Houston.

I realize the cultural significance of the Catholic church in Mexican culture. One of my favorite "lighter" side moments of the Pope's reign was him with the white cowboy hat on.
There's six english speaking and 2 spanish speaking channels in Dallas outside of Telemundo covering the Pope's death.
Gimme my Spurs basketball.![]()
wow. for once i'm actually grateful that i live in california.
I'm with you Shoog. What NBA TV did with tonight's game was ing pathetic.
