Same style, except with more opportunities in transition..
With new players there is a chance to alter or style. We have been a grind it out defense from the 99 champ. Twin towers to 4 down. With tony and manu we even had the opportunity to play both a grind and an up tempo. Lately pop has been mastering the art of small ball.
Withe blair witch, and ian getting rebounds and especially with RJ being a "runner" this is exciting we can start playing like the suns on offense and spurs on defense. Pretty much the slowest player is tim duncan , but him trailing the break isn't bad.
Ya'll know way more about BBall ten me. So what do you see for how the spurs being younger will change our play.
Same style, except with more opportunities in transition..
Bring back four down.

4 down
as much as people hate it, 4 down wins championships.
as long as they sign any one of the good bigs out there in FA, this team has the ability to be so versatile it's crazy. opponents will have their hands full at both ends. the acquistions of Jefferson and Blair have totally changed the dynamics of the team. with an extra FA big, there isn't a team that has an advantage against SA in my mind.
I'd like to see some up tempo small ball. Playing both ends is what wins championships. Defense philosophy will always be there; but we are more athletic now.
Looking forward to seeing this lineup. One of many lineups with the possible depth we're going to have.
Duncan
Gist
Jefferson
Manu
Parker
I'd like to see a more defense oriented team than last year. And on offense I'd like to see less jumpshots and more free throws and points in the paint.
Yes, the championship level defense should be back next season.
TRIANGLE!!
Mason is great at stop-n-pop, TP's getting pretty good at it too, don't know about RJ. but the thought of all those screens, rolls, and back cuts with explosive guys like RJ, Gist, Mahimni, and Blair makes me drool a little
I'd like to more defensive-oriented, but on offense, I'd like to see 4 down, of course, as well as some type of motion offense where we have guys cutting to the basket, back screens for open shots, staggered screens, etc. Obviously, we want more slashing and driving to the basket, too.
THIS STYLE

We ranked 5th defensively last year, despite the inconsistency, injuries, and lack of defensive talent..you can assume we'll easily be in the top 3 with good health, and a much improved roster..
If you're having to ask, the Spurs are moving in the right direction.
Spurs like to maximize every possession and hold their opponents in the 80s and 90s if they can help it. 7 seconds or less is about as far from that as you can get. I don't think a Pop-led team is ever going to count on scoring 110 points a game.
Spurs will continue to do what they have done to be successful: run when the opportunity presents itself (which is often with Parker and Ginobili's speed), but if you don't get the breakaway basket, then take it out and set up the offense. Spread the floor with shooters, and utilize the inside-out game presented by penetration of the guards and doubles on Timmy. Get back on defense.
I expect alot of blowouts this season
