The official 2009 NHL offseason moves

- Blackhawks acquire Marian Hossa via free agency

- Canadiens trade Chris Higgins for Scott Gomez; other ty players are involved in this trade

- Canadiens acquire Mike Camalerri, Jason Spacek and Hall Gill via free agency

- Mike Komisarek leaves Montreal for Toronto (free agency); good riddance

-Goalie Khabibulin signs with Edmonton

- Goalie Dwayne Roloson signs with NY Islanders

- C Mike Knuble signs with Washington; smart move

- During draft day in Montreal, Anaheim Ducks have traded defenceman Chris Pronger and forward Ryan Dingle to the Philadelphia Flyers for defenceman Luca Sbisa, forward Joffrey Lupul,


- Goalie Ty Conklin signs with St-Louis Blues (good move good move)


- Update : Gionta headed to Montreal as well (UFA)

Wings took some real hits to personnel. Hopefully the kids in the system can fill some of those holes.

Habs look better though. Gionta - Gomez - Camalerri are nice additions (terrible caphit for Gomez, though). With mainstays Kovy - both Kostistyn (sp?) - Latendresse (sp?)...should be a real good forward corp in the East.

Spacek is a real nice addition to the backend, but that was needed to take Komi's minutes. Gill is Gill. Markov = Stud.

If Price pulls his together or Halak takes his job, Habs could do some damage.

Habs added some solid pros and they also added grit and solid players last week with Paul Mara and Travis Moen
IF the goalies step up; watch out..... if not.............

Latendresse played well for us last season. He is a good kid

Dont worry for the loss of Hossa and Conklin. Yes; Conklin may be the best backup goalie in the NHL but Ken Holland is a stud.
