All the MMA fanboys can either whine and cry and call me a troll, or they can be mature, be adults, and address the subject & make a topic of this.

There's always hope he goes to the Knicks instead.
Why not?
Except a national TV shot on CBS.
The first video the dude is a and is looking for acceptance in the mma world the second video was funny.
lol kimbo slice
Subs ute "mma" with MLB, NBA, NFL, etc, and it would be the same answer. The athletes and the fans aren't going to be open to it, IMO.
I don't follow MMA so I was wondering how MMA followers feel about this. I can sorta understand why other sports wouldn't be as ready to accept an openly gay compe or because teams are close and they share a locker room and all that, it could make things uncomfortable.
but isn't MMA for the most part a one-on-one deal? It's not like you have to eat, sleep, and shower with the guy. I'd think it would be alot easier for a sport like MMA to accept a gay fighter. If anything, some phobe would probably welcome the chance to legally beat the out of a gay dude, I would think.
It has to be REALLY bad to get abused and butt kicked by a on National TV... that being said.. I think the rating will explode and that America needs it...
I have always figured it would happen on Tennis, Golf or Euro Soccer first.
The sport could handle it but IMO no fighter who is either already a star or on the verge of becoming one would come out. Too much to lose for them, they would not want the controversy..
It's happened in Tennis for the Women
Billie Jean King
Martina Navratilova
And lol @ this hillbilly wearing his now too tight HS wrestling t-shirt.
MMA would cause the big stir because of the one on one contact but like i said i doubt anyone who is a big star or becoming one would come out. Who needs that kind of attention??
This is sort of true. Most fight gyms don't have a community shower like sports teams would use. There is more privacy in that sense so you don't have the trust issues of "Hey, that guy is staring at my !"
As far as it being a one-on-one deal, it is at fight time. During training you are part of a team. Any worthwhile martial art (including boxing and wrestling) involves a lot a time working with training partners, resisting opponents. So if you're working on grappling, which can involve some very unusual positions, some guys might have a problem with a gay guy being their training partner.
Apparently there's a scene in 'Bruno' that revolves around gay mma fighters at an event somewhere in the South. We'll see how it works for him.![]()
Who gives a if somebody is gay or not really...
seth petruzelli isn't exactly "in the closet".
and i'm not sure what is gayer....the men tonguing or the man holding the miller chill
