we used to be, but ran out of movies to watch or we weren't watching enough.
Who here is a member? I'd like to actually use the friends feature on there.
we used to be, but ran out of movies to watch or we weren't watching enough.
Ok, so Netflix never sent me the damn movies they said they did, so I cancelled. Opened up an account with Blockbuster Online and have received my first 3 movies the next day. Watched one, sent it back, and they got it the next day and sent the next one which I just got. I sent out the other 2 and everything is running pretty well.
Netflix has a better website, but I'm liking the service with Blockbuster.
Sequ, don't know how the you ran out of things to watch. I have over 50 movies on my waiting list, but there are so many more I need to add.
Is Blockbusters selection as good as Netflix? I've heard Netflix has, like, EVERYTHING.
I'm seriousliy considering it now that it's down to $11.99/month.
You can only watch Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, and A Bug's Life so many times. I'm sure their kiddie section is limited.Sequ, don't know how the you ran out of things to watch.![]()
Blockbuster has everything as far as I can see. Netflix also had everything. They have a bunch of indie stuff and harder to find movies that you won't find at stores. They both have all the TV show's on DVD also.
I thought Netflix would be better, because when I had it before it was awesome. But this time around, 5 days went by and I never even got the first movie.
I got Hotel Rwanda today, and they shipped that out on Tuesday, the day it came out.
You should just try it though. BB has a 2 week trial usualy, but I think I read yesterday that if you sign up and enter in the promotional code "friend", you get an entire month for free. Oh, and a pretty cool thing about BB is that they also give you 2 coupons a month for free movies at an actual BB store.

A pretty cool site to check out is www.hackingnetflix.com . It's a blog that gives you a bunch of news on both BB and Netflix.
Netflix is better.
I thought so....
Until they wouldn't send me movies. Then they kind of sucked![]()
Depends where your at. My Netflix movies come from San Jose so they come the next day and they give me shipping dates and arrival dates on all my movies. Is there a Netflix near or around Texas?
Both companies have shipping centers around the country. And I'm prety sure both have one in each Dallas and Houston. Actualy Spurm, you'd probably get next day service too since you are in the Metroplex.
The one's I get come from Houston.
The ones from Netflix I've gotten come from Austin. Either one, I'm just glad they don't charge late fees....a month later I still haven't gotten around to watching the ones I currently have.
I've had both and Netflix was WAY BETTER. Blockbuster took to long to get the movies to me and their movies were on a waiting list. Granted, Netflix has some movies like that too but nothing like BB.
If I were to go back to one, I would pick Netflix. But I wasn't watching the movies all that much and was running out of movies I wanted to watch.
Go figure.
I know its weird but I also was 'running' out of movies to watch. Maybe it was I just didn't have time to watch every movie. And to take the best of the deal, it's better you watch as many movies as you could.
I guess I typicly rent 6-9 movies a month from the video store, so it's already a good deal no matter how many more I get.
Also, from what I read, BB has improved A LOT over the past 2 months, while Netflix has done the opposite.
Hmm...I stopped BB over 2 months ago..maybe I'll give both a try...and see what they offer.
I just signed up for the free trial at Bockbuster.
See how it works.![]()
Neflix is the jam though.
Their porn selection is not very good.
anybody know of any good copying software for dvd's that will let you copy copyright protected dvd's?? Not for illegal purposes but to back up my own collection?
Netflix, the world's largest streaming video company, warned a global crackdown on password sharing is coming. It seems like a serious warning this time, and it could mean an end to the rampant practice of borrowing a family member's or friend's — or loose acquaintance's — login information

So do we cancel or keep. I want to cancel but I'll end up keeping..
Man they really want to lose customers
I mean using a paid streaming platform is convenient but I would have no problem torrenting their content or using a non legal european based streaming site that has everything
I reckon Netflix will be in for a cool reckoning. They’re jacking up the prices every year it seems. Their cheapest (with HD) is almost 20 bucks now. Remove the last remaining features this has and is pretty much game over for them.
I switched to HBO Max last year and I’m happy about it. There is far more content I want to consume than I ever did at Netflix. The fact they release movies on their service concurrently with theater is the cherry on top.
Netflix wants you to pay all that money for TV Shows they only make every 2 years.Stranger Things as their biggest example.
holy cow this is an old bump lol
Their stock hit an all time high of $700/share in November. It has crashed down to $218/sharewow
