you accepted that premise for going to war, so what's wrong with it now?
Thank goodness! I feel better about the stimulus now. A second stimulus should do the trick.OBAMA: "No, no, no, well I would actually rather than say misread we had incomplete information."
you accepted that premise for going to war, so what's wrong with it now?
It's a tricky spot. Obama has been attacked on this board for being too optimistic and too pessimistic about the economy -- often by the same posters.
whoa whoa whoa. is that actually a complete sentence? looks awfully palinesque. gasp!
WMD moment?
The idea that he misread the economy is a complete and blatant lie.
His intention is to grow government, not the economy. Only in government can you misread the situation, spend trillions, and make off like a bandit. What a life.
Liberal fallback position..."Bush Bad! Bush Bad! Bush Bad! Bush Bad! Bush Bad! Bush Bad! "
No, it will take three or more $1 trillion dollar plus stimulus packages before he can bankrupt this nation and nationalize everything.
Yes, maybe because it is downright hysterical how freaked out he was about the economy, did a lil' ulus bill and budget, and is now telling people we are coming out of this when it is all getting worse.
Tricky spot to treat millions like they are all ignorant herd worshipers.
he didn't misread anything, it's just that the previous administration left him a bigger mess than he first thought.
So you are saying he didn't freak out enough the first time.
Ok.
Interesting opinion.
Uh, no.
He pumped up the fear for public support to DO SOMETHING. He did something alright. Used the crisis as an opportunity to push radical agenda.
Now, to comfort his masses, he tells them it is working when in reality there are no signs of recovery and we are months away from a 2nd ulus bill. Good for him though. With the support he has they all knew he'd get away with it; he will pass a 2nd stimulus bill that will be decent enough for the people to forget there ever was a first. In the meantime he pays off his cronies. Well done, Mr Axlerod. It's only America. It's not like anyone has respect for the old gal anymore in this day and age.
typical conservtaive being a hypocrite..
10% of the money has been spent. Aren't you against govt spending?
So, the economic hype behind the first stimulus wasn't fearmongering after all. On the contrary, the recession is worse than they thought.
They didn't think bro! That's what I am saying. They do not care how bad it is. They are doing their thing, they have an opportunity to do their thing, they will continue to do their thing.Worse then they thought.
That's why many people were crying out that there was no common sense behind this ulus bill, yet Obama, Pelosi, and the patriotic gang marched ahead!
How can any of you intelligent free-thinking individuals on here act like it's all good when Obama and the patriotic gang are burning up shoes trying to get all of these patriotic bills through?????????????
Uh, yes. That's what you said.
So are you saying now that president shouldn't follow through with his agenda because some people don't agree with it?
So was the economy bad when a stimulus bill was passed under the Bush administration? Was that the proper amount of freakout?
Follow through with it. He won! It's his board game. I'm cool. The strong survive (and thrive) in any system.
This is a fallacy. Only the survivors survive. The strong survive in any system.
How? Ever time something bad comes about, the democrats are still blaming the former president. How is pointing out the truth, being a hypocrite?
I don't mind the concept of an economic stimulus as long as it's not some 1600-page pork-laden piece of that nobody even reads.
How to you know it's a pork laden piece of if you didn't read it?
