I don't know why it closed. I thought it was doing well. I know that it wasn't paying some of its debts, so obviously they weren't doing as well as it appeared.
I know this old news but I never heard the reason why they closed. It came out on the news but I didn't watch that day. Does anyone know?

Duke's is owned by the same folks that run Sam's Boat in Houston. Maybe this has to do with the whole tipping out management lawsuit from a while back.

I pass by everyday for work and I thought I would bring it up in the forum and see if any of yall knew. They did seem like they were doing well though. Hopefully, they can turn it into something cool.

went there once. the food was pretty good and the place was jumping. I liked when the girls got on top of the tables and nearly stripped.
They messed with Clear Channel.

Kori is right. A buddy of mine was a regular there and knows a lot of the wait staff. They had a thing about not paying their bills. Supposedly its going to re-open as something else but not sure what or when.
When I pass by, I see cars there. Don't know if they're starting to work on what's becoming of it or if it's just people from the establishment next door using the lot for more parking.
Dukes was horrible. It was Sherlocks Jr.
there was supposedly also a problem of serving minors.. that gets many places in sa closed.. and dukes did suck balls.. it took about 6 months to get 1 drink in the place.. the tvs were too small too... oh yeah, the food was terrible too..
I guess Dukes is fun if you're trying to relive your college frat days when you used to relive your high school party days.
I agree. Their food wasn't all that.
But, heard It through the grapevine It had to do with IRS Issues.
