Well I would like to see him take it easy early. He knows hes getting older and a 82game NBA season can be pretty grueling, and he's smart so he is only going to push it as hard as he needs to until the playoffs come around. Pop will sit him out on back-to-back nights and probably be very tight with his minutes throughout the season.
So early in the season this will help all his teamates get really involved and in tune with Spurs team basketball. This will help the team gel easier. The only drawback to this situation is if Duncan gets too comfortable taking a back seat then it might be hard for him to "take over" when we need him to. As long as he gets himself to go that extra gear later in the season we should be ok.
Lets hope for alot of blowouts and a season where we won't need to grind out til the last regular season game lol.
Toast in high hopes that we will see a healthy Timmy and Manu next season![]()
