A question to you spurs fans...

what are your toughts about Hill? What if Hill has a Allstar season, and other teams will try to land him...

let me tell you that Celtic fans have an eye for Hill..

You guys better not lose him. Do you guys think he will remain a spur forever with TP leading the show?

The idea that the Spurs would have a backup as an NBA All Star is pretty funny. We're not known enough, so it doesn't matter. But if that were to happen, no...I would definitely think Hill would take off and be a starter somewhere and make starter money, and I wouldn't blame him for a second.

he's going to cost money to retain, and rightfully soon. i have confidence that timmy will take the paycuts that are needed to retain him

and yes, george hill can stay a spur forever with TP leading the show. he can come off the bench (we'll still have manu for years) and play the 2-spot alongside tony

btw, if george hill left the spurs cause he wanted to start elsewhere, why would he want to go to boston were rajon rondo was starting?

It's hard to have an All-Star season when you're backing up one of the best point guards in the league. Hill will probably struggle to find the time to even get consideration, unless he produces like a madman in limited minutes, or plays well enough to get time at SG.

i think he has the potential to go to an allstar game at the 2 down the road when mason isnt on the team and parker is in the later years of his playing days, should be interesting to watch

Because we can't afford to have Rajon, this will be the last season before hes contract expires.....

we all have to wait and see what happends I guess

I agree with you Celtic fan. I am one of the few who thinks Hill has all-star potential. Next to tony he might not get there. The good thing is that he's a good kid, talented and respect his coach. I hope he can grow that potential in San Antonio, and Pop and the organization give him that chance. Maybe at SG, after Manu retires...dunno.
If not, I think he'll look it some place else.

I like Hills potential! If he had an allstar year as a PG backup, the Spurs are winning the championship!!

However i do believe that he will want to and will stay a spur because he can eventually be a combo guard, after Ginobili is done and possibly be starting!

No Team even knew this guy existed! So he has much respect for the spurs then to just leave for a few more change! Granted though, it takes an organization and the player to be able to reach that players highest potential!

I think Hill's dedication and physical and mental skills along with the Great Developing program the Spurs offer, will undoubtedly make him a very very special player!

Geez, Hill will be the 2nd guard off the bench after Manu and probably the 3rd or 4th player off the bench. What all star game are we talking about?

I think Hill has the potential to do much more then just come off the bench.

We are not talking about a allstar game.... have you actully read this thread?

??? Spurs have Hill this year AND next year just with team options, and he'll be restricted in 2011.

If you're looking to replace Rondo, and you want to do it cheap, Hill isn't your option. Spurs would certainly match any cheapo offers.

Well given that they are only 2 or 3 years apart!

The Spurs would be able to afford both of them!

Tim and Gino will probably be at the end of the road come that time, and young guys like Splitter, Ian, Hill, Blair and Parker will have had alot of Minutes under their belt with great players like Tim and Gino and Horry and Finely that will prove to be Priceless!

If he continues to progress like he has...ill take Hill in 3-4 years. tony takes a beating, plus all the deep playoff runs and intl play will take a toll on his body, once he loses that blazing speed he wont be nearly as effective. I think its imperative the Spurs keep Hill and groom him as the future floor leader.

    What a damn stupid thread.

Hill is for the moment nowhere near an allstar and it's just impossible to know what his level will be in 3 or 4 years.

And Hill will be a restricted free agent in 2012.

I'll say this, if he keeps progressing annually he'll be sought after heavily by some teams.
