Yes. I believe so. I think Dirk will have on crazy ass season (similar to his MVP year) and believe it or not the acquisition of Marion will definitely make them the third best team in the West. Marion has been an All Star performer with a great playmaking guard and Kidd imo is still one of the best in the game.
Kidd, Marion, Jason Terry, Gooden, Tim Thomas, Dampier and J-Ho will keep the tempo,the mismatches, physicality and the perimeter shooting to keep them close in the game, while Dirk being one of the best clutch/takeover player in the game can finish it. They are still one of the best offensive team in the league and truthfully their coach is one of the best X and O's out there,. I think Cube's will bring in one more reinforcement this off season.

Marion is beyond overrated. He wont be that effective, especially in an isolation offense like the Mavs.
Every year the Mavs add a bunch of role players that come just short of being real, actual impact players. Tim Thomas and Drew Gooden are no different.

3. Negative. Gooden is a 7th or an 8th man player off the bench.
Mavs plays a match of transition and quick uptempo sometimes. With Marion on board, it would be foolish to think no adjustments are going to be made to cater to his explosiveness.

I personally think Portland is more of a dark horse then Dallas. But Dallas will be pretty good next year, I really can't see them beating SA or LA though.

Thats exactly what i'm telling you.
Especially when it comes to the playoffs. The game is going to slow down, like it always does, and his talents are going to minimize again, like they always do. You as a Spurs fan should know this more than anyone. Marion consistently drops off production and gets owned come playoff time because of just that.
David Stern will not allow this. He will do everything in his power to make sure that the Lakers repeat as NBA champs next year.
all a darkhorse buys you is a loss to the lakers in the WCF
marion's numbers have decreased, but playing with kidd would greatly help him. kidd is still a very good passer. Marion can capitalize on alley-oops assists from kidd,IMO.
Still, i do not agree that dallas is a better team than blazers.
lol this has to be a joke. the mavs have come a long way since the end of last season but they are not dark horses to win it all. actually, no one is. it's gonna be spurs, lakers, or celtics. denver, orlando, and the cavs are gonna get crushed by one of those 3.
edit: i take that back, orlando isnt gonna get crushed but has an outside chance of winning it. they are darkhorses.
