I'll be rooting for him. He was a lot of fun to watch in the first half of the decade.
"My knee is feeling extremely strong. The most important thing is I'm confident in it. You guys just stay tuned. I'm out here grinding in Chicago, trying to get back right, but yes I will be playing for the Rockets in the '09-10 season. I will be in uniform for the Rockets this upcoming season, I guarantee you that, and I will be a lot better than I was last year. I will be back to the player that I once was. I will guarantee you that."

I can't make jokes about him anymore since I started getting real bad back pain.
The 13 points in 45 seconds was, maybe, the most rediculous thing I have ever seen. I really hope he come back like he said. Time for Houston to have some good things happen for them.

The fact that he was guarded so well by Bowen made it that much more impressive.
ai and tmac .. trying to prove they still belong .. i wonder if any team takes a chance on them ...
He's said this about 50 million times already, I'll believe it when I see it...
You guys actually believe thios chump!?!
He said the same last year, god.
+100..that 13 points in 35 seconds pissed me off, but it was amazing to watch.
Just saying we're rooting for him..not saying it's going to happen. You should root for him too, after all, he is on your team, dude.
Yeah, but last year Tim Grover wasn't cosigning for him. Only because he said he guaranteed it is why I have any hope. This man has only been singing praises about Tmacs progress. Also the surgery he had was not on a weight bearing part of the knee which is why they told him he could play last year if he could endure the pain, because it wasn't going to get any worse. It was not the type of procedure that others have had like Amare and Webber. Besides this is the first time Mcgrady has ever dedicated himself to working hard in his career.
It's also a contract year so he will give his all to shine even if it's for selfish reasons. He will be the best teammate he has ever been, because whether he's resigned by the Rockets or not, he will have to prove that he can fit into someone elses' scheme without making to many waves. Worst case scenario he fails, and we look forward to 2010. Without him we'd be lucky to make the playoffs. With him and our new additions we are a better(and much deeper) team than when our playoffs ended.
That should be interesting considering the fact that the whole team hates him
Trust me, he is going to lick his teammates ass in his last meaningful contract year. Besides, whether they hate him or not, they will accept him because he makes the team a lot better.

I'm rooting for him. I've always like TMac and a quick look at his stats in the playoffs pretty much proves that he has played well and was rarely the reason for first round exits. It has become the trendy thing to say that he chokes in the playoffs, but if his playoff numbers over his career are as good or better than his regular season numbers, how is it his fault?
He also guaranteed he'd get out of the first round the year before last!!
McGrady's career playoff averages:
28.5 ppg
6.9 rebounds
6.2 assists
1.3 steals
1.1 blocks
And his career playoff FG% is identical to his career FG%. TMac has been a great playoff performer his entire career. The idea that he "chokes" in the playoffs is a complete myth with no basis is reality.
he has a better chance at fixing his eye than being great again
I would rather trust T-Mac than believe Yao's pale promise of not retiring. Of course Yao won't retire until two years later from now.
Makes perfect sense now: Dunc told me in a PM that he's relocating to Houston and walking on in hopes of landing a roster spot.
True, Yao is the rocket's biggest mistake
I really believe this guy.......hopefully we will surprise everyone next year....it's something the Rockets do very, very well ;D
The 13 points in 35 seconds is one of those clips I can watch over and over and over again![]()
