or have you ever? If not don't post or post your attempt at it.

My most embarrasing was my senior year in HS at the senior BBQ. I thought i was a badass and would go jam in front of everyone so I went in (i take off one foot instead of two) and was running in so fast that after I did it I thought I could hang onto the rim, but the forward momentum of my legs was going too fast and i couldn't hang on so i let go and at that point my head was about to meet the ground first , so i put my elbows back and boom, saved my head, but had some probs.

People were laughing and like nice, are you ok, im like yea sure. I went behind my car after everyone was talking about something else and slumped down, and pretty much started crying. Got in my truck, drove home using my forearms cuz it hurt too much too grab the wheel, walked in on my mom and said i think i broke my elbows.....haha, sure enough both elbows broke.

So in my senior prom pics i have one arm with a cast hanging out-luckily the doc felt bad for me and gave a soft cast for my left. HA, wow, good times. Since then I dunked in college twice, tho last time i did was about 4 years ago, but i haven't tried, i could prob get close if i went for it now.

An 8-foot rim is about as high as I can dunk, lol. When I was little, we used to have dunk contests on a small ring in our house with the neighbors, does that count?

oh yea it counts. All I can say is the first time you do it on a 10 footer feels absolutely amazing. I remember where i popped my cherry and all i did was come down and yell and then smile for like 30 seconds....and then when i did it in a game, wow, i was so pumped-seriously its like a huge rush of energy-i cant describe it-you just feel on top of the world

Yea i agree, its so much easier when just messin around with no one around. When i did it in game i think i checked like 3 times back to see if anyone was coming, i got lucky. Cuz most of the time if you check that much your going to up-which i did a lot just not in game-but i couldn't help it, but i had the perfect line and pass and i mean yea im 6'1 to 6'2 a scrawny white kid at the time-----no one thought i could do it but i did, i was soooooo fired up. hhahha. It was one of those defining moments, but not as much as the broken elbows one i told earlier....but it feels great-especially when no one thinks you can do it. Hey, some white boys got hops!

I used to get that alot in hs. If no one expects the 6'2 white kid to dunk they especially don't expect the 5'9 (when I first started dunking) white kid to do it. i used to get a rise out of people in pregame warmups

Last time I dunked was junior year of high school in the aux gym. I was clowning around and came down on the corner of the wall and the floor and sprained my ankle pretty badly. Lost a lot of confidence in my leaping ability after that. I'm kind of trying to get back into shape to see if I can dunk again before I'm too old.

I'm not very tall at 5-10 but I've dunked twice in my life, neither cleanly and neither in a game, organized or pick up. For the longest time I could grab the rim with two hands but couldn't dunk except for like volleyballs. So one summer I was getting really close and finally did it and I felt like superman and . The very next week I was playing ball and started to try again, landed hard on my heels and my back went out on me. Like bad, I couldn't get off the floor it was that painful. Was bed ridden for almost two weeks. But I did get some damn good pain killers so that was fun. Same thing would happen 5 years later trying to dunk again only my back would be even worse. I stopped trying to dunk. Now I'm old and fat so I definitely can't dunk now.

i could barely dunk in 9th grade. i was a bball player all through high school but the vertical never got higher. i'm about 6'2 and i've added 45 pounds in 2 years (went from 185 to 230) from weightlifting so now my upper body's almost too big but i have been able to barely put some down at the Texas tech gym after i run a little bit and get my legs warmed up

I was grabbing the rim in middle school and dunking in highschool. It was a big deal because I was a 5'10 Mexican that was dunking and out rebounding the taller guys. After I graduated I was playing a pick up game indoors and some guy was upset that I dunked on him and out rebounded him so when I thought I was alone on a play I was going to take it up and he jumped with me and grabbed my shoulders topull me down. When he did I landed on my knees with his weight and my weight. So I had to take steroids and other anti in flammatory pills and gained over 100 pounds. I went from 150 to 250 in about a year. So needless to say no dunking since then.

I'M about 6 foot, used to be able to dunk off of lobs but unfortunately My hands were not large enoough for me to palm so I could not dunk in games warmups and halftime only ...
Which was sad because i could high jump over 6ft and have a long wingspan ...but small hands did me in ...
NOW can't dunk or block shots like back then (now in my early 30's) but i used to love the the great running blocks even more than dunks erasing a sure layup or dunk was the shiznit!

I can dunk without really even trying at 6'2, just got lucky with the genes for hops, can't shoot too good though.

But I've f'ed up PLENTY, plenty of dunks. Worse dunk ever was trying to REALLY rock the rim but instead slamming it right into the front of the rim, broke one of my fingers. One of the most painful things i've ever done, like trying to put your hand through a brick wall.
