Possible Trade Target: Shane Battier

First off , I am new to the forums. I actually became a member just to post this thread. I have been reading threads since the beginning of the summer. I love this post-season. Think RC and the gang are doing a great job improving the roster.

Since the trade that brought Jefferson to SA, I have been waiting/hoping for Bowen to get waived. Yesterday it became a reality. I think the only thing we are missing is a good wing defender to backup at SF. I love Bowen and don’t want to see him play for another team. However I do think he is getting old and think a younger player that is in his prime is much more suitable.

I went on espn.com to the NBA trade machine and started proposing trades with some of the top SF that are noted for there good defense… and I came across Shane Battier! He is a great player with a good at ude that will fit in perfectly with our organization. He can shoot the ball and stick on the opponents superstars

I traded Bonner and Finley for him and it was a success. I think he can fill the hole we have in our lineup. I just want to get some input from you all as to whether this is a possibility and if so what you all think about the trade.

If we did get him our roster would be pretty comlete

Yeah it would be nice to get Battier, but I don't think the Rockets would trade Battier to a division rival.
