Sucks if he still wants to play but will have to retire because no one picks him up.

Apparently, the Cavaliers will take a pass on veteran shooting guard Bruce Bowen.
Bowen, 38, was waived by the Bucks last week before his $4 million salary was guaranteed. The Bucks still owe him a buyout of $2 million.
The 6-foot-7, 200-pounder had spent the previous eight seasons in San Antonio, where he was known as a dogged defender. He was named to the All-Defensive first-team for the fifth consecutive season after the 2007-08 season.
Bowen earned three championship rings with the Spurs. He was traded to Milwaukee in the Richard Jefferson deal this summer. After being waived last Friday, there were rumors the Cavs or Celtics would sign him.
However, the Cavs are probably not going to sign Bowen, a source said. They still have their $2 million bi-annual exception at their disposal, but they might not use it.
Bowen averaged 2.7 points in 80 games with the Spurs last year. The 13-year veteran could be considering retirement.
There's nothing new to report on the Leon Powe situation. The Cavs have interest in the 6-8, 240-pound power forward, but might be reluctant to offer a two-year deal.
Sucks if he still wants to play but will have to retire because no one picks him up.
Of course he wants to play, it's a matter of millions of dollars if he does get to. It's prolly time for ol' Bruce to rest his weary bones. Spurs: we retire players.
Like I've said before...it's the Spurs or retirement. End of story...
You know why they're gonna pass on Bowen? Cuz apparently he was auditioning as a shooting guard and not a SF.
The article could've at least researched his actual position![]()
Dude is going to retire. end of story.
If no one picks him up he and D-Rob can open up a Yoga studio in SA.
All sports careers come to an end. Bowen has made the absolute most of his talents over the years and has championship rings he earned to prove it.
Just think about how many players with superior skills never got a ring.
Come home Bruce, there's plenty to do here in your adopted hometown for a guy with your character, energy and good citizenship. This isn't the end, just another door opening.
