Celtics made it known that they'd match any offer up to the MLE so teams that want Big Baby for the MLE or less didn't bother. Not many teams that are going to go over the MLE for Big Baby or can afford to under the cap.

Glen Davis now understands why the term “restricted free agent” is an oxymoron.
The Celtics [team stats] forward, discouraged by the lack of progress in talks with the team as well as shrinking options in the free agent market, posted his frustration Tuesday night on Twitter.
As evidenced by his tweets, Davis’ angst was tweaked in part by the C’s signing of free agent power forward Shelden Williams to a veterans minimum contract earlier this week. A league source also confirmed the Celtics finally started discussing numbers with Davis in the past week and made an offer that was considered disappointing by the player’s camp.
Davis started free agency with the hope of earning mid-level money ($5.8 million) but has yet to draw any offers beyond the one recently made by the Celtics.
Here is Davis’ string of recent tweets:

The Celtics said that the Sheldin Williams signing had nothing to do with Davis, but I don't think I can find a link.
They're just waiting... why sign him now for the MLE (which is probably what he wants) when you can get him cheaper later on. They're in no hurry and are gambling.
Big Baby is not the type of talent that sells tickets. Therefore, in the down economy, his services are not desired at his asking price of the MLE...
With his frame and with big number of games he has to endure...he is a major injury waiting to happen. I hope I'm wrong, because I don't wish that to any player.
They are probably also hesitant to lay a five year contract on him when the celtics windows is shorter than that. When their top talent gets too long in the tooth, why do they want to be paying Big Baby Big Money?
