This looks worse than Transformers. And I didn't think anything could possibly look worse than Transformers.
Midnighting it tonight. Hopefully Ray Park as Snake Eyes will cause this to make my childhood feel better. Anyone else planning something similar?

Barroness looks better than Fox
actually a lot of the reviewers that I trust that hated TF2 for the same reasons I did, have given GI Joe much better positive reviews. I'm still going into the movie with low to mix expectations but I tried to give TF2 a chance, mostly because I thought it was going to be a much darker, serious film compared to TF which had too much comedy relief from the parents, yet Bay added more of this so called comedy relief , I mean what was up with those scenes at the college especially with Sam's mom.
One of the main reasons why I have some mixed feeling about the movie when the first trailer hit during the Super Bowl was because they only showed the Joe's in black leather, and I was like "oh no not another X-Men, matrix" type where everyone wears black. Especially since one of the trademarks of the GI: Joe's was that each had their own iden y with outfits/uniforms; the only one's that wore black were Snake Eyes and the Baroness. Now with more pictures and tv spots being released showing the Joes wearing more traditional camo and other alternating uniforms, I'm feel better about the movie.
the acting, which some have been worried about especially with one of the Wayans bros, couldn't be any worse then the over acting style of Transformers 2
I'm going to the midnight screening at Regal Live Oak.
I've also heard good things about Joseph Gordon-Levitt's performance in the film.

My parents held onto the toys from back in the 80's and I passed them onto my son...he loves them and can't wait to see the movie today.
He's called me four times already at work to try and figure out when I'm rollin.
I also heard reviews where critics said it was better than transformers.

not a fan of comic book movies. marlon wayans doesn't really bring anything to the table as well.
Yeah, that's a pretty low-set bar.
TF 2 may just have been the worst movie I've seen since... well, ever. It was horrifically bad.
GI Joe was worth it for the 15 min Paris scene. I was laughing at the insanity/awesomeness of it the entire time.
There were some other decent scenes, but that one took the cake.
And yes, the plot holes are pretty huge.
Also, the catfighting between Scarlet and the Baroness...Drool, drool, drool.
Yeah.. actually, of the three fights taking place in that scene, the Baroness/Scarlet one was by far the best acted and most vicious looking.
My brother hid my VHS copy of Pretty in Pink when we were younger so I broke apart several of his G.I. Joes.

Say the movie earlier today and it was pretty AWESOME. There were a few scenes where I though MOUSE could probably act better. But I like how they introduced the characters by going back into their past.
Overall I give it a B+

Yeah, I really liked the flashbacks. Usually that kind of thing makes the movie drag but it really added a lot of depth to the movie.
Now, as far as comparing this to Transformers goes, GI Joe has some amazing graphics and is intentionally cartoonish at times. There are cheesy lines here and there but they're pretty intentional. Both Transformers movies are cheesy as , but Bay doesn't do that intentionally. See Con Air, The Rock, etc.
I went in not even wanting to see this until I caught a few more trailers online. I'm glad I went though, it was a good summer popcorn flick. Plus, it seems I like any movie with any Wayans Brother in it. It's no X-2 but still pretty good.
Heard the plot sucked shlong. I want some feedback you guys, cuz the critics are slamming the out of this movie, and if its in the same vein as Transformers I will not waste my 20 bucks.
Def better than transformers 2, I just hope in the sequel snakeyeys gets a facelift, he doesn't need lips
I don't even know anything about G.I Joe before the movie but I thought some of the explosions, fights and weapons were cool but apart from that was pretty .
Transformers 2 was better. the Transformers haters.
pretty ironic since the only good part of transformers was the explosions fights and weapons. transformers, the college scenes could have been cut out the megan/lebouf i love you crap scenes could have been cut out. At least GI Joe saved that ty romance subplot till the end.
