Jamaican sprint sensation Usain Bolt demolished his own world record, clocking a scarcely believable 9.58 seconds to win the 100m le at the world athletics championships on Sunday.

Defending champion Tyson Gay from the United States was second in a personal best of 9.71 and Bolt's countryman Asafa Powell was third in 9.84 as the top five finishers all ran under 9.94.

Serious question here : is Bolt an extraterrestre ? is he already the greatest ?

Exactly, I don't know if the people realize 9.58 is a crazy achievement ! If Gay can continue to push Bolt I believe he can dream to have an objective at 9 not saying that bolt is going to break the 9 in his carreer but I'm quite sure 9 could be a realistic target which is already HUGE.
What Bolt is doing is what Bubka did.

i think he can go faster, that number tag and outfit he wears is creating downforce drag on him....and he seems to have a slow first step off the blocks, if he can improve on that...

He is also just 22yrs old. Most sprinters are at their peak at 25-28yrs old. I think he can dip to into 9.4's

Yup, it would be devastating. It is also very likely he is. Jamaican athletes are not getting tested during the off-season. Just during compe ions. It takes about 30 days for most of the stuff to leave your system, unless they created something to detox.
