Ron Artest was always better than Bruce Bowen.

Ron Artest has a trophy of "defensive player of the year" on his mantle while Bowen has none, but Bowen has more appearances in the all-NBA defensive team.

It's inarguable Artest is the better player than Bowen both in defense and in offense, but the prime versions of these two guys are not separated by a wide margin. Ron is more aggressive and more energetic in defense, so the guy under his defense always feel pressure in breath. Individually Ron is slightly a better defender than Bowen, but Bowen obviously works better in systematic strategies and has helped him team won multiple championships.

I don't think the OP was stupid enough to try comparing these two guys at the offense end, Bowen shoots 3 pointers better than Ron does especially at corners, but it still doesn't need any debate to reach the agreement that Ron overwhelms Bowen in offense.
