They can't make tonight a throw away game, we almost have the number one seed. The Spurs MUST play the hearts out tonight and sleep tomorrow to get ready for Portland. They cant do this and give up, the number one seed is absoloutely key to their success in the playoffs. They have to at least try to win tonight, because it would be a big one. They gotta get this. Play the starters give them limited minutes but at least make it so they can win this game. The number one seed is ours for the taking and it is imperative they get it. BEAT GSW, TAKE IT SPURS, JUST WINNNNNNNNNNNNN.

I agree, whoever actually gets on the floor, for the minutes they wouldn't get otherwise, needs to show Pop, and the walking wounded Spurs, and themselves, what they are made of.

Tonight is not a fricking "pro forma" game, going through the motions, a holding pattern until the casualty ward is back, but an important battle in the war for NBA best record.

Amazingly, the Suns just dropped 2 games, Heat just dropped one, so the Spurs dog is very much still in the HCA hunt.

I would very much prefer to open the playoffs against the stalling Grizz rather than streaking Nuggets, sweep their asses, or 5 games max, and then get some rest for round 2.

agreed, not necessarily HCA vs Suns (but that can't hurt, seeing how average the Spurs are on the road).

imo, the NBA-best record is primarily for the advantage in the Finals, plus getting an eaiser 1st round opponent (probably 8th Griz). Let the Suns take on Nuggets in first round.
