Breaking news: Tide's Brandon Deaderick shot

Alabama defensive end Brandon Deaderick was shot tonight as a victim of a robbery attempt at an apartment complex in Northport, police at the scene have confirmed to the Press-Register.

Deaderick was reportedly wounded multiple times in the arm and leg. He has been taken to DCH Hospital in Tuscaloosa for treatment.
The shooting occurred at Rivermont Apartments. Witnesses said the shooter fled from the complex and police are currently investigating and searching for the suspect.
Deaderick, a senior, started all 14 games for Alabama last season and was set to be the starting right defensive end for this year's team.
