Well, I never understood dip s like that.
What comes to mind, is they don't shower or bath and have to keep their gross hair out of sight, and don't want to have the bill obstruct their view.

Hats were invented to keep people out of my face. Where I live, people like to stare at you in traffic, or anywhere else. The hat, is awesome at blocking the view of other people.
