What do you expect? He was supposed to be a prospect. Outside of Blake Griffin, James Harden and a handful of the players, the rest of the draft was not that good.
I watched the game against Serbia and all i can say about this guy is OVERRATED.

I've seen some clips, I'm still awed as to what makes him a top 5 pick
that repetetive clip also has him shooting. he has a set shot which looks terrible. i wonder what he plans to do off the pick and roll. no time to stop and take your time
I know the Wolves can bring him over to join the other young guys they draft + Big Al, Love and Flynn in 2011 or 2012 but I think they should have chosen Flynn at #5 and gone with T Williams or Derozan at #6.

His defense is pretty good, on offense is where he struggles, specially on the shooting department. But his defense doesn't suck.
May be that's why he is waiting 2 years to come to the NBA because he realized he wasn't ready

I dunno man, I've seen the kid do some crazy with a basketball. He is a very good PG but as far as scoring goes he's average at best.

Media was about to decree his state (bust or second coming of Jesus) when he decided to wait two years. Media has now moved on back to like Artest running around the Houston team bus in his Fruits. Things like that. Media put Rubio in their suspense file for like June of '11.
Yeah I agree, those 4 plays that get replayed repeatedly on ESPN are special.
If you know where to look there's plenty of footage of this guy.
But it's no different than the people anointing him the next marquee point guard in basketball because of the 4 play highlight reel on ESPN.
Yeah, I don't watch ESPN so I don't really know what the you're talking about. I looked up a bunch of his online because I was interested in seeing what the big deal with the kid was and he's got game. Anyone who thinks he doesn't is seriously re ed. That being said, I think he will be a good PG in the league. Not on the level of Nash, Kidd, Paul, Parker, Williams, etc, but maybe more on the level of Sessions.
Well the kid has been a pro since 14, and if his game has grown he must have really been garbage then. I have watched him in about nine games before, and other than a few flashy passes, he is a turnover machine without a shot, his defense is slightly above average, and he needs to hit the weights to guard players on the NBA level. A lot of those same passes will become turnovers on the next level if he tries them as well. I think he will be a good rotation player but at this moment he is nowhere near being a starter. From what I've seen IMO, he will be a Jordan Farmar level player at best.

Rubio has been DOMINATED so far in EVERY game. It is embarrassing. I guess he is another overrated NBA player "good" only in the make believe world of NBA fans. Because so far in these 3 games he is total .
