We're hardly pwned. Tons of newsgroups and torrent sites out there. More than likely he will catch that he didnt renew and do it in the next few days. You have a grace period when you don't renew it to still be able to keep your domain.

I take it none of you mind the fact you're driving your favorite developers into the ground? Every single sale counts for those folks.
There are other ways for a business to make money than having a government sponsored monopoly.

I adopt a try before I buy model, so far I would not have bought any of the games I've downloaded anyway. I mostly only play first person shooters, and many of them come out and you are excited for them but they end up sucking the chode. I will be buying MW2.
I also do this with my iphone. I download tons of programs to try them out, if I really like the program I will gladly uninstall and purchase the app. Ive probably bought 20 or so apps so far that I deemed worthy.
Unfortunately you cannot return video games in the same fashion you can other electronics, appliances, until that day happens I will continue to download and only pay for the I actually like. Most games Ive downloaded I played for a few minutes and never put it back into my 360 because Im a picky er with the games I spend my time on.
Yea i was upset yesterday when it was gone and I wanted to get a game. Glad its back up tho. Oh and I will buy 2K10 when it comes out to support.......and I want the special edition that comes with the locker.
exactly most the games ive downloaded too i wouldnt have bought, like batman. and im the same way most the games ive got i played for like 10-15 minutes and im like ehhhh nevermind...

The fact that games cost pretty much the same now in stores (inflation adjusted) as they did in the 80s when they were simple programs that one or two people could write is amazing to me. Nowadays games cost millions of dollars to develop and produce, and often have hundreds of people working on them. I don't want to kill the golden goose through piracy; not when games now are 100x better than they were twenty years ago, for the same price.
Baseline I see your point but I support developers if I like their game or have been a fan of their game library.
That being said, theres nothing worse than plopping down $60+tax to take a shiney new game home and see that it was a rushed piece of with uber lag and or nor replayability. You can't just take a lemon game back and get a refund. Once they have your money its gone, there is no recourse for some of the piece of les that are released full of bugs.
Therefore as long as this is the model of the gaming industry, downloading the games I would not have otherwise bought and paying for those I downloaded and ended up liking is what I will do. I ususally try to play the demo on live before I take the time to download a pirated copy.
^^ umm, I'm positive GameStop has a 30 day guarantee on new games and 7 on used ... PC games are different I'm pretty sure but xbox 360 games you can take back should you not like them. I've traded out like 3-4 used games over a 3-4 few week period until I found one I liked.
and to be frank, i really don't give a about why you download your games. the rest of us use reviews and demos and word of mouth, and it works just fine if you're not an idiot. downloading games is simply a much cheaper way, I understand - but you screw over developers by not even trying their games. Second and more importantly, modded xboxes have been ing up xblive more and more lately, so that kinda takes the wind out of your argument, cuz you're knowingly ing over other people even when you don't really do it to the developers.

"hackers" (the actual cheaters) use modded xbox's. they are responsible for a lot of the problem, but having working knowledge of what makes games compatible together for online play, i'm willing to bet that whenever you play downloaded games online with other people who bought the game, it causes undetected network issues.
and in case you haven't notice, xbox live has been ing up more and more. I've had it for a few years now, and its definitely been a degenerative process. I mean, I can't even matchmake with a party a lot of the times - just get network error after network error, regardless of the game.

new console games you don't like and get your money back anywhere. And what do u mean modders have been ing up xbox live? The games are identical to a stirebougjt one and can't up live. R u talking about the glitchers who modify game files to cheat ?
made a quick call to gamestop and confirmed you CAN get a full refund for any new game if you return it within 7 days. After that, you can switch it out for a new copy if that copy is ing up or receive store credit if you return it within the next 23 days.
