great! who are you and what happened since 2006?
Several of you already know me, and it's good to see you again! The rest will figure it out over time. What happened? Well, it's been a strange few years, both my mother in law and father died after lingering illnesses, and I spent a great deal of time shuttling between
Pittsburgh, Austin, and Hampton, Virginia. Both my wife and I have been ill, both with diabetes. I got off easy, lost 110 lbs., and am pretty well under control now, but Jan is
really having a hard time of it, now in a wheelchair and fighting hard to make a comeback.
My son made it through his two deployments to Iraq intact, and has added two more to my collection of grandkids, bringing the total to six, including my first granddaughter.
Got downsized after 21 years with my employer, but that worked out pretty well, too. I took an early retirement and have had the time to deal with Jan's illness, and am rapidly becoming an expert in the kitchen.
As for banning, yes, I was. Apparently a previous user of this IP address which I got about 2 months ago did something to get the address banned, but Kori got that fixed.
