Horrible week for Arizona. With Jermaine Gresham out for the year and Brandon Pettigrew in the NFL, it looked like it was Gronkowski's year to be the best tight end in the country and get Arizona football some exposure. So much for that.
To make matters worse, they lose a winnable game against Iowa. If they ever want to make a jump as a program, they have to start winning these games. The worst though, is the production they're gettting at QB:
Matt Scott: 4-14, 50 yards (3.6 yards per attempt, unacceptable), 0 TD's, 1 interception (that led to an Iowa FG).
Nick Foles better get a shot, I know Matt Scott is inexperienced, but that excuse only goes so far. When you can't complete 5 yard dump offs to wide open players, experience isn't the problem.
I know 95% of the people who post on the college board don't care about UA, but IMO ST has enough UA fans where making this thread is OK.

Oh god, I felt sick watching that game today. I originally definitely predicted to high for the cats. I had no idea scott would be that god awful. I have a feeling I'm going to feel bad for our D all year-they actually played legit they just had to be out on the feel so damn long because scott would 3 and out 5 gazillion times in a row. Fact is we have a serious QB probem, scott showed he's plain when playing a decent to good defense. You have to give Foles a chance next week @ the beavs. He can't possibly be as bad as Scott-he showed a little bit of worth at the end even though i realize game was done, and iowa was tired and playin prevent. All I know is with Gronk going down and tons of questions at Q-we're going to lose quite a few this year. I think we get owned next week, and probably end up 7th/8th in the pac10. Of course if foles can come in and be halfway decent that would be a huge bump. I know exactly how teams will play us this whole year and if foles can't step up we're ed.
Yeah of Scott starts next week Ima be pissed. And I completely agree the defense is not to blame at all, they were on the field almost 2/3 of the game. The defense has lived up to its potential this year, the offense, not so much.
Basically, Scott hasn't proven . He played like dog against Central Michigan (the defense won that game, didn't allow a first down in the first half), and beat in NAU. There's no indication he has any future. If he's still starting UA's next home game, Zona Zoo is gonna make sure he knows he sucks
You're an idiot, I said the game was winnable, I never said Arizona was better than Iowa.
