Not a bad option to back up T-Mac. He can score.
The Rockets have added another guard to their growing list of training camp options in the backcourt, signing Rashad McCants to a non-guaranteed contract, a person with knowledge of the deal said Thursday.
McCants averaged 9.6 points per game last season, and has averaged 10 points per game in four seasons with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Sacramento Kings. A 6-4 guard, he was the 14th player taken in the 2005 NBA Draft after helping North Carolina to the national championship.

Ok signing I guess....he can score but nothing else. Von Wafer's replacement
Nice signingI wish the Mavs would have made an offer for him.
This signing makes sense since Yao is out.
Not
If he can lose the at ude and buy into the team concept, this could turn out to be another steal by Morey. The kid does have a lot of potential. Hopefully the experience of not being wanted has humbled him enough to make him focus on saving his career.
I guess since Yao is out, there is no need to run and push the ball up the floor, huh?
Meh. Above average 1 on 1 scorer, but tends to be a chucker at times. Not too interested in rebounding or defending. Absolutely will not pass the ball. But, considering the rockets situation and the fact that it's a non-guaranteed deal, a good signing.
Minny was looking for that for 4 years. Never happened.
The same team that ed up the Rubio situation, I wouldn't base anything on them
The oppurtunity to win can work wonders sometimes.
McCants is a Von Wafer equivalent, so this is a good pickup for Morey....Definitely needed scoring, especially off of the bench
Ehhh...just another guy with a "baller's" mentality all about "me, me."
