If that's in LA, there's a good chance the homeless guy is severely mentally ill. If you ever ride the subways or the busses around the city you end up dealing with tons of homeless who have no business being outside of mental health ins utions. One of my friends came within an inch of losing his life when a homeless schizophrenic hit him in the forehead with a lead pipe on a subway through Hollywood. He was lucky to catch it out of the corner of his eye in the last second and only ended up with shattered bones in his hand and a small fracture in his skull, since he was able to block part of it and lessen the blow. It still knocked him out cold though.
Then again, the guy could have just been someone posing as a homeless person too. You see those types all around LA too (especially Beverly Hills). I've even seen one poser who drives a new Benz.
