    SAN ANTONIO - Rookies don't usually impress NBA veterans, but DeJuan Blair? That was impressive! The Spurs second round pick from Pittsburgh dominated the boards Tuesday night in his first preseason game.

    The roster lists Blair at 6'7”. In reality 6'5” may be pushing it. But what Blair lacks in height, he makes up for in hustle and hands. Watching this kid work the boards is just amazing. He's got the 7'2” wingspan and a motor that just won't quit. He ended the game with 16 points and 19 rebounds in just over 20 minutes.

    Blair's lack of height means he doesn't always finish at the rim, but he can go get the ball. The problem with Blair is he doesn't have the same ferocity going for the donuts. That's a rookie mistake. Spurs guard George Hill is picking up the slack. Click here to watch...
