I have always liked Disraeli. Now I think I like Willetts and Cameron as well.
The parallels to the U.S. 'conservative' movement are obvious, but I don't have the impression that anyone in the U.S. movement is willing to be as thoughtful as these folks. I just don't see it. Maybe David Brooks, but he really doesn't have the intellectual heft necessary to sway anyone.
Who do you think could make the case in the U.S. that Willetts made in England?..and carry the day?
