SAN FRANCISCO (CBS/NNS) A very determined and aggressive blackbird has sent a local man to the hospital for minor penile lacerations. The man was traveling with his family when he decided to urinate behind a hydrangea bush.
The tiny bird has spent the last several weeks dive bombing people as they walk on a trail in Richardson Bay.
According to some experts, the determined dive bomber is defending his nearby nest using a tactic called "mobbing." Experts believe the bird might have mistaken the man's penis for a worm.
The bird has also developed a following. Several people now gather to watch the daily dive bombings.
