I don't have much faith for LA to win this one. I think LA's rotation lets them down.

i gotta imagine this is the matchup LA wanted at the start of the year...chance for revenge.

a lot of it depends on which Cole Hamels shows up

those lefites dont give the dodgers as much trouble as they did to the rockies. dodgers can throw out there wolf(lowest lefty ops against) kershaw(3rd lowest and lowest opp battting avg in the ENTIRE league) and kuo, sherill. they hold lefties to an avg around .150

Well I will be sporting my Mannywood shirt and my Manny red sox jerseys more now than ever now that my sox are done. I am pulling for the Dodgers. This series should be better than last year.

So glad the Phillies advanced. To be the best you have to beat the best. The Dodgers are going to have to step up big time to beat the Phillies. They're a really good team (bad bullpen and all). It will be fun to see if the Dodgers up their game and advance. The main concern I have as a Dodger fan is the Dodgers best hitter is Ethier and he can't hit left handed pitching to save his life, and off course the Phillies best three starters are left handed so it'll be interesting to see if Matt "can't hit a breaking pitch" Kemp and Manny "not on PED's anymore" Ramirez can step up for the Dodgers. Should be fun.

He most likely won't pitch on three days rest. It'll probably be Hamels and Lee in LA.

I might go to game 1. Don't want to see Lee rip apart the Dodgers.

You think Lee pitches on four days rest in game two or do you think they go with Happ or Blanton?

Yeah, that's no fun. But even though Hamels has been extremely mediocre this year I think in the fifteen innings he's pitched against the Dodgers this year he's allowed like 1 earned run so he's very capable of shutting down the Dodgers, sadly.

Dont be surprised if its Pedro...hasn't been used yet and was supposed to be the game 3 starter before the snowday.

Oh yeah, forgot about Pedro, that's interesting. I suppose Manuel will decide who he'll pitch in game two depending on who wins game one. If the Dodgers win it'll probably be Lee, Phillies win it might be Happ/Pedro/Blanton.

The one major advantage the Dodgers have this year apposed to last year is the Dodgers man two pitchers, Wolf and Kershaw, are left handed as well as Kuo and Sherrill coming out of the pen, which causes major problems with some of the Phillies best hitters being left handed (Rollins is worse from the right side, Utley, Howard). Last year the Dodgers had no left handed starters to go against the Phillies, also the Dodgers have HFA this year, didn't last year. That doesn't mean as much in baseball but it's still an advantage.

Why is there a day game in the NLCS this year? Seems like a stupid idea to me. The Angels and Yankees have two day games in the ALCS this year too.

Don't forget Ibanez is also left handed. That's why Wolf should be pitching game 2 IMO. I'm not sure why we are waiting until game 4 to start him when all their best hitters are lefty.
