Chama Gaucha? It's fantastic. A little pricey, but delicious.
What did you think??

Ive been there also great food and the salad bar is amazing.
I dont know, I thought it was pretty average. The salad bar is awesome, the service is ridiculous - top notch. , the tiles in the bathroom are mezmerizing, but when it came to the grilled meats I was underwhelmed. I am not saying its bad, but it is not great. I didn't have to pay for it and therefore don't know exactly what it costs, but for the amount that I assume it costs, I would expect each bite to explode with flavor. (yes I just said I would expect grilled meat to explode in my mouth so get your jokes outta the way).
Yeah I agree that the meat wasn't amazing but I thought It was still good I did really like some of the meats though like the Parmesan pork and the Prime Sirloin. Its been a while but i think the price was around $100-120 for three people with some drinks.
have you been to Fogo de Chao?
they just opened up one downtown. Ive been to the one in Houston and it was incredible. Real pricey but worth every bite. We still talk about it.
I liked the place. The service was probably the best I have ever had. I thought the meats were pretty good. The salad bar did kick serious ass but the desert was blah. I had the tres leches cake because waiter raved about it. I should have known it was going to suck because he was a white guy. You can't just make a regular cake and pour condensed milk on it and call it tres leches cake.
I want to know how you spent $120 for 3 peeps. I spent about as much for just my wife and I.
I thought it was awesome. Love the fried bananas and the cheese. Salad bar is awesome and the meats are very tasty. It was the best Brazilian BBQ outside of Sao Paulo that Ive had.
I have been there twice and it's been just as good each time. It's a very unique kind of restaurant and I'll have to agree about the service there. This place rocks!
A meat place praised for it's salad bar is some where I wouldn't go.
Dude the salad is just the beginning. The reason it is so awesome is because it is fresh and has a great variety. I went up and got prosciutto and mozzarella before my meal. I liked the salad a lot but I prefered the meat.
I KNOW there's a joke here SOMEwhere.
That place is muito ben!! Expense, but muito ben.
They took the bambina!!!

I want to know how you spent that much money. Im pretty sure when I went there the charge per person was $35.I want to know how you spent $120 for 3 peeps. I spent about as much for just my wife and I.
He spent $70.00 for the meal, and $50.00 to CPS to not take the midget sister in to protective custody!!!

Ok...WHERE is this from? I keep seein it but I'm completely clueless.
seriously where do you guys find crap like that?!
Checked it out yesterday. salad bar was freaking amazing. Meat was OK, but obviously there was a LOT of it. I didn't have a single cut of meat that just made me go..WOW!. I need a colon cleanse LOL.
Oh yeah, $130 after tip for two.
Service is better at Chama, food is better at Fogo.
This is exactly the way I felt about it when I posted the OP. I would say
salad bar: a+
meat: b or b- (my initial thought was c+, but it has been a long time, so I am
giving it the benefit of the doubt)
service: a++
Colon Cleanse: a+++++++++!!!!+++!!!!!+!
Will keep this restaurant in mind next time I pass through SA.
Let me know when SA gets a Rafain. Good food and service. Screw the salad bar![]()
About where I came down on it too. Also prefer the aesthetic/vibe of Fogo, personally (unless I don't have a reservation... bar is tiny, standing roomis nil).
We've been to Texas de Brazil downtown ... which is identical to the one at Stone Oak, only I hear the salad bar is even better at Texas de Brazil.
It's $40/ea for all, $25 for just the salad bar ... not including desserts or drinks.
The food was amazing, and the service was exactly what you'd expect for that price, and then some.![]()
