que the shoulda bought a mac s....
Alright, I just started getting that blue screen today. Don't know what to do.
I installed a Sata card yesterday and the PC was fine last night. I start using the PC today and whever I open the "My Computer" folder, the Folder would "Not respond". I go into safe mode and go back to 10/13 when I had some Java update. I used the PC for about 20 minutes, go down stairs to play some Xbox 360 and when I come back, I see blue screen. It told me to disconnect any recently installed hard drives. I took out the Sata card and no to no avail. Is there anyway anyone can help me?

you cold try and boot up into your windows setup disk and tryand do a recovery option. It will look the same as if you were doing a fresh install but it wont format your hard drive. It will just fix the corrupt files. Or you also log into windows if you can, set up a disk check reboot the system and let it perform the check and see if it finds any corrupt files.
I was going to reboot but didn't want to have my HD deleted cause I have a lot of 360 games that I sell. It would literally take about 3 or 4 days or straight downloading to get it back. So the best thing to do is find that disk and re-install it?
Yes, first time. I don't think it's the SATA card since I took it out and it still wont work. As a matter of fact, I never even installed the CD that the Sata card came with. I am stumped right now.
if you have another hard drive you are not using you can just put windows on that HD and just use the hard drive with your games as a second drive. But yeah if you use your windows boot disk I would make sure that you do a recovery and that you dont format your disk. Do a disk check first. Right click on the hd in my computer go to properties tools and click disk check. It will make you reboot in order to perform it.
I'm stumped. I have to find the setup disk, right? It's most likely in the Box the PC it came in. And how do I even run the disk? seconds after I even turn the PC on, I get the blue screen. I can't even get to vista or log in to a user.
yes you need your start up disk. You have to go into your bios and make sure your cd rom is set to boot first and not your hard drive. should be a boot options tab or something of that sort. loss of data always leads to future back ups. I know after I lost my I started backing everything up. Thats why its good to also use a second drive or partion for your data so that if you windows partion s it self you can just delete that par ion and not lose your files.
I am gonna download Windows 7. Vista is .
I have no idea how to make the CD rom boot up first. I went to bios but got lost.
I am downloading one right now. You want a link for it?
It's usually F8 while your computer is starting, then "boot sequence"
64bit or 32bit?

More info from the BSOD would have been helpful. Whatever drivers were installed when the SATA card was installed are causing the BSOD. I'm surprised to read you didn't install them from the disk, but regardless of where they are from they are the problem.
Oh yeah, Mouse told me to tell you that it's a virus.
