The Way Things Work at the Alamo: Getting your Drinks & Snacks1. Write your menu choices on the paper provided
2. Stand the paper up in the metal clip on your table, so that it acts as a flag for your waitperson
3. A waitperson will come by only if they see the flag--make sure it's visible to someone on the side of your aisle!
4. Order as often as you like until the check is dropped (last call)
5. As soon as the check is dropped, pay your tab with cash or credit card. Paying as soon as the check arrives will ensure that you get your change before it's time to go home!
6. If you enjoy the service, please feel free to tip the waitstaff!
"1255 SW Loop 410"
then why not just have it in nearby ... Laredo!![]()
That's only at 410 and Marbach. It's not next to my house either, but it seems like a pretty central location.
yes please do. The daughter of a co-worker of mine works there. Help the kid out!6. If you enjoy the service, please feel free to tip the waitstaff!![]()
San Antonio is a big ing city, and someone is always going to complain regarding the location. Yet, the same people always show up. There are just certain people on this board who will complain even though they had no plans on showing up.
So you have to drive an extra 10 minutes, is it THAT big of a deal?
So are you coming Mikey? Or you only go to SC GTG's these days?![]()
Will Mouse be making an appearance?
Manny, I'm not complaining, I'm joking, dammit.
I don't come because I don't like to drink and drive, no matter which extreme end of the city, or county, it is.
And I don't watch my Spurs without a few Coors Lights (and pizza or jalapeno pork tamales or nachos).![]()
I know the US blood alcohol limit is typically twice the typical European limit, but still ...
that is far away. Can we have one in San Marcus?
actually Im out, I have to close that night, got the dates screwed up.
Have a few cold ones for me!
You guys might want to check on Drafthouse before getting too deep into plans. A friend went by there today, and said there was a sign on the door saying that it's (paraphrased) closed until the owner pays his bills, and that the locks will be changed.
I wonder when all that happened, Manny was just there last week. You guys might want to check on Drafthouse before getting too deep into plans. A friend went by there today, and said there was a sign on the door saying that it's (paraphrased) closed until the owner pays his bills, and that the locks will be changed.
No idea. He went by because he heard these was some Amityville fest with the new movie, old movie, and ghost hunters. He didn't see it on the marquee so he went up there, and saw the sign on the door. I think he was up there at around lunch time.
Don't shoot the messenger. It's a guy my girlfriend works with, so I'm just passing on what he told her.
I just called, spoke to someone in the box office, and was told they were open tonight.
Are you sure you're talking about the same theater KL?
Yeah, the one off of 410 near Acadiana. My girlfriend works out in Von Ormy, and passes by there everyday. The sales guy went by there today, and actually went up to the door, and it was locked. Maybe the guy paid up the landlord since then? There's a few hours that could've changed something. I don't think the guy would be joking about it...if he was, I don't get it.
Sounded like someone needed a reminder to pay their rent. But if they paid, it's probably back open.
Weird! I better use my passes before they go out of business!![]()
I would be all for one in San Marcos. Or Austin sometime soon.
It's a publication night, so I can't make this one, but have fun everybody.
I will give you props for that even if no one else will![]()
