False. Dec 8, Tim scored 39 pts, and Sonics won @SBC. .
It was of those losses where the Spurs totally disappeared, on both ends, for one qtr.
In 2nd qtr, Spurs 12 - Sonics 29. Game over.
It's interesting how close, in numerical terms, the Spurs came to going undefeated at home this season. 38-3 and the 3 losses were by 6 (Seattle), 3 (Denver), and 2 (Memphis). That's a grand total of 11 points, and they had the ball and the game in hand in the closing stages of the games against both Denver and Memphis.
Turns out that 40-1 wasn't unrealistic -- in fact, in light of those facts, 38-3 might actually qualify as a disappointment.
Well, the Spurs have always had a habit of being a good home team, but not a great one. They always went 33-8 or 32-9.
38-3 is dominating, and they will only get stronger in the playoffs.
I don't see anyone winning at the SBC Center in the 2005 playoffs.
