If Miami loses one more game or the Spurs win one more game, then the Spurs will have home-court advantage if they meet in the Finals.

I know I am looking to far ahead, but it is interesting nonetheless.

Done deal. Spurs have HCA vs all of EC.

Heat are already 3 Ls behind Spurs, meaning -2 actual Ls (21 - 23) + Spurs have the tie-breaker.

Spurs have to have more Ls than Heat to lose HCA.

Why do the Spurs own the tie-breaker?

Miami has a better conference record, which is the second tie-breaker after head to header record.

    It ain't over yet.

tie-breaker: Spurs have better record vs EC, than does Heat vs WC.

    It's over.

The only series where Spurs may not have HCA is WC Finals vs Suns.
