I knew, hehehe
Hey remember before the season, someone had a topic regarding Manu Ginobili asking whether Manu could become an All-Star this season and average 18-20 points per game? Props to you who said he'd be an All-Star so soon. Limited props on the ppg numbers since he currently averages 16.2...but hey, he's an All-Star with that average.
Who in here was "right" early-on about Manu? Roll Call!!!
Who in here was unsure or said "no way"? Be honest!!!
We will know who the revisionist historian bandwaggoners are, so be careful what you say!!!
I knew, hehehe
I certainly thought 18 ppg was possible, but an All-Star?
No.
I had a good feeling that he would be an All Star. By the way he's replied to a lot of e-mails on his site. I'm surprised he skipped the question on his health.

I called him as a future AS last season in Hedo > Manu
I said he'd be our Kobe Bryant..
and a legitimate AS

Someone caption it.
I also thought he would be an all-star. But I didnt join the forum that early. So I guess I dont get any props.
I had thought, prior to the season, that SA would have 3 all-stars (Tim, Tony, and Manu) but couldnt foresee the NBA's mouth glued to the Sun's privates. Oh, well, 2 outa 3 aint bad.
Sequ is still in denile that the Spurs are a good team, much less that Manu is an All Star
If I remember correctly I probably said that he would be one, but not this year.
I actually thought he would make more points than Tim Duncan....![]()
(kinda how Shaq and Dwayne Wade turned out)
Seriously, after he won the Gold Medal, I was like, "Damn, he's going to be more popular than Timmy!"
I did not think he would make the All Star team.
I didn't think hed make it. But I was happy to be proven wrong.
I didn't think he would make the AS team this year, and I had my doubts about the scoring. Way to go Manu!
I don't remember making any PPG prediction, but I started saying last year he'd be an All-Star this year.
I don't see him not making the A-S game for the foreseeable future, either.
sequ will never be happy![]()

I said he would be an allstar.![]()
BTW, here is Sequ's quote, it shows just how brilliant he really is.![]()
Not only did he misjudge Manu, he was wrong about Beno too.06-27-2004, 10:33 PM #147

If Manu gets that kind of jack, I will quit watching NBA basketball.
Also, while we are at it, if the Spurs sign any of these foreigners they just drafted, I will quit watching them as well.

i expected manu to be manu, maybe get a little better touch from the outside, and i expected him to get lots of rest early in the season...i know i didn't expect him to be an allstar...maybe hoped, but i wouldn't have put money on it...
i also didn't expect TP to do what he's done this year which is be very consistant and be very agressive. Glad he learned something from last years LA series, and i'm glad eva's in the crowd....keep it up tony...
i expected barry to be much better much earlier, but better late than never, hopefully he continues, and i expected devin to have a better season, but there are only so many minutes to go around and once beno started to show something, everyone's minutes were affected....
i expected rasho to learn how to dunk...yeah right...
and i expected more from Tmass.
lastly, i never expected to go into the playoffs without #31.
i didn't expect Horry to be what he has turned into. our best bigman after duncan. Glad we got him, he's our xfactor in my opinion.
I called Manu for All-Star Game MVP.
Win some, lose some.
In February 2003, I saw the Spurs play in Houston. The way that Manu took over that game in the 4th, the fearlessness with which he drove the lane, the way he scaled Yao and put the ball in the hole to seal the win, the way my dad, a die-hard Rockets fan jumped to his feet and cheered, all led me to this conclusion: Tim Duncan may be the franchise, the body of this team, but Manu Ginobili is its heart and soul.
In all of the years that I've closely followed the Spurs, I've never seen a player with a desire to win like Manu.
I got everything right on Manu except for what I got wrong.
I assumed the guard strength in the West was too deep for Manu, and I always figured Tony had the edge due to being a Point Guard.
Glad Manu exceeded my expectations. I expect Tony will follow soon.
Same here.I called Manu for All-Star Game MVP.
Win some, lose some.
On a side note, I'm pretty sure that Sequ could have Jenna Jameson and Kobe Tai going down on him at the same time and he'd still be ing.
Anyone predict him not cutting his hair anytime soon?
