I'd like to throw down my pre-order money for mw2.

If anybody has ever gone to a midnight release for a big game- how crowded do they generally get? If at all? Can I expect to be standing in a huge line with a bunch of dudes dressed up as Soap McTavish? Is it better in your experience to just wait until morning?

Ive done it in the past. It isnt too bad at all and for a game like MW2, youre not going to get a bunch of cosplayers (*cough*FF10).

If youre that geeked for MW2 that you'd consider even doing it, then you should do it.

I waited in line for 14 hours for a PS2 back in the day. That, I will never do again.

I went to the Halo 3 one at the forum in Selma and they had 2 redbull minis with projectors displaying the logo on the walls. They had give-aways. the Red bulls girls helped out with eye candy it s was cool (guess its depends on where you go).
