Tim could very easily average about 11.5 rebounds per game this year if he keeps it up although it has only been three games.

Note that Duncan is an amazing 5% ahead of 2nd on this list, and a truly amazing 10% ahead of 3rd.
Not bad for an old guy with bad knees who has to share boards with 'Dice and Blair.

The Spurs should lead the league this year in defensive rebounding.
sample of three games. big deal...
Look, when Mike Miller is 5th on a defensive rebounding percentage list, you know that the sample size is ridiculously small.

duncan is one of the best rebounders in the league. he has always been that way. that's why he's tim duncan.
well, Mike is currently averaging 9.7 rebounds
but yea, let's see where Duncan(and Miller for that matter) is on this list after 15-20 gameseither way this is hopefully a good portent for the rest of the season.

Another thing you might want to look at, I thought Yi Jianlian was a soft guy but he is number 20 on the list.
Yi has looked very good so far this year..added some muscle and is playing with more of a killer instinct..
Too small of a sample size but nevertheless woah ... that's our Duncan up there at the top. He seems to get more effective as he age
Now you are telling me someone on the Nets has a killer instinct.
It would help if your statistical inferences had sufficient power. Until then , I'll chalk up Miller's presence on your list as Type 2 Error.
The lost weight seems to be paying dividends so far.
But we still got raped on defensive rebound by Bulls and Kings, which means our other rebounder sucks.
These first few games i was surprised to see how aggressive he has been on the boards. If he's still taking it slow and working up to top form like he and pop suggest I can't wait to see what he has toward the end of the season.
I don't know about this. I have a sneaking su ion that this just shows how awful a rebounder Matt Bonner really is.
Put McDyess into the starting lineup and Duncan drops in this list.
He has long arms and good strong hands. I get really fired up when DeJuan gets rebounds but when Duncan gets them, many of them surprise me.
Yeah, in all fairness, Bonner has displayed unprecedented unselfishness in allowing Tim the honor of holding down the defensive glass. It's really been something to behold..
Seriously though, the Spurs have consistently been the best or one of the best defensive rebounding teams for years.
Now, offensive glass?
That's another story..
of course he is![]()
