A bat-related offer you can't refuse
By Jeff McDonald
So it turns out something good is going to come out of the Manu Ginobili bat incident after all. Free beer.
This, from a news release from the San Antonio-based Freetail Brewing company, that just hit our e-mail inbox: "Every time the Spurs win a game, and no Mexican free-tail bats are caught by Manu Ginobili, Freetail Brewing Company will buy everyone at the brewery a beer."
The brewery will also donate $1 in each patron's name to Bat Conservation International. But, seriously, you had us at "free beer."
Of course, this offer leads us to a couple of questions: Does this apply to road games as well? The Spurs are almost certain to win in Minnesota, and as far as we know, Minnesota is relatively cold and bat free.
Also, what if someone other than Manu Ginobili catches a bat? Do we still get free beer if Tim Duncan or Tony Parker or Gregg Popovich does the honors?
For more information about the brewery, and this once-in-a-lifetime offer, visit www.freetailbrewing.com.

...or sucking our energy.
Just another example of one of SpursTalk's own giving back.
Damn I can't wait until the Utah game so we have something else to talk about. Getting old really fast. It was funny yes, but that doesn't mean it will stay funny the more articles you write about it Jeff.
Is that Scott's brewery?
I can imagine Pop grabbing a bat in mid-air with his teeth
Yeeeesh
One, two, three, three slaps. Ah ah ah!!!!![]()
Imagine if they were to create a hybrid ...
Wait, what? Someone from this forum owns that brewery? That's awesome.
Good idea for cheap press. Hopefully their beer doesn't suck; it's pretty close so I need to check it out.
scott owns it. You can search his posts for beer related stuff.

Scola might get a little easier on the eye.
Now just imagine if Blair ripped Scola's arm off to hit the bat... I predict the end of the internet.

The Onion's a little late to the party but I figured I'd share this and bump the thread, since Scott kicks ass like that.
we should create a drinking game, every time McDonald writes the word "bat" in an article, we all have to chug a freetail.
I predict that half of the board would die of alcohol poisoning by saturday.
