My best friend's boyfriend does. It's a sexy car.
Forgot to mention...it's a sedan....I'm a family guy.
nice cars. a friend of mine has one. the sedan too. hes been very happy with it
i'm looking at a blue one and a white one. all the reviews i've read on this thing sound really good. i was leaning towards an a4 but the lack of power really turned me off...even with the v6...this thing has a 6 and puts out 300hp and looks good. i can get A LOT more car for the same as i'd pay for an a4 without compromising on anything. they're both 2007s (when they changed the design) and certified. i don't think i'll ever buy brand new again. you take a $2000-$3000 hit just taking it off the lot so i'm more than happy to have someone else take that hit.
You have to look at torque as well. I have a 4-cylinder A4 but that 207 lb-ft of torque makes it one of the quicker models off the line. Obviously you have to take into curb weight as well (giving you the power/weight ratio). The thing that separates Audi (or other german manufacturers) from Infiniti or Lexus is quality of interior. I had read reviews of previous G35 models that critiqued the cheap feel of the interior. That was a few years ago though. I would imagine they have improved the interior since then but Audi still > Infiniti in that dept.
268 lb-ft and 306hp. from all i've read, the interior has improved and some reviews put it a close second to the leader in class 3 series.
a4 0-60 = 7.1s 1/4 mi 15.6@90mph
g35 0-60 = 5.3s 1/4 mi [email protected]

my wife has a 2004. great car and fast. you will not be disappointed one bit. great choice.
i got a 350Z! and I love it!!
G35 is just better!
what year, there are 5 years and 2 generations that have the g35 moniker
not even the coupe goes 0-60 in 5.3, if it is first gen it is 5.9-6.1, 6.5 more like if you have the automatic, and probably slower in the manual if you are not a world class driver, second gen is a bit better
as for the interior, unless you are getting the second generation one, i think 07 to 08, the interior is not great,
this is old gen
this is new gen
you cant compare a 2 door sports car to a 4 door entry level luxury sedan that just happens to have a great engine.
this is not a acura, i know the newer gen has an s option but it is not called the "s type" it is the called the "sport option" and adds an s at he end of g35 .
Overall the car is great, i had a first gen coupe and the last year i had it, i took it in for some minor recall thing, and drove a second gen 4door g35 as a courtesy car, handles as good as the old coupe and your cant beat a VQ under the hood. for its price range (30-35k) it beats all other entry level luxury cars out there.
That first gen interior is pretty much teh same setup i had in a 350z. I liked it. to each their own, though teh second gen does look better.
i used to frequent my350z.com quite a bit and they have a part of it dedicated to teh g series. probably a decent database to search questions and gather some info.
the z's have had some issues and i don't know how much of that transfered over to the g series but something to look at for sure.
Yes, I have the new gen. If you want a sports car, get the coupe. The sedan isn't very sporty in performance in my opinion.
besides it still has 4 seats, plenty of room for the fam in the back...![]()
coupe is NOT a sports car its a luxury sport car, if you want a spots car go with the 370z,
Great car - fun as to drive for a 4-door. The Infiniti dealership in Austin has A++ customer service, hopefully yours is the same.
A couple thoughts - If you're getting the first generation version I hope its for the performance, because the interior does not live up to the standard set by the engine.
Second gen interiors are much better. I would say the closest thing to the G is a BMW 3 Series - the cars are pretty much neck and neck - the 3 is a little more polished (although Infiniti has closed the gap) and balanced. The G is still a little rough around the edges performance-wise compared to the BMW but is a of a lot of fun.
IMO, both are better choices than the Audi.
the only g35s i can find are in austin or farther.
Used to be my favorite car -- until I saw the Audi A5.
The A5 - it is so hot it's car porn. I love that car. Unfortunately for blizz it's a two door and hard to find used, plus with it costing about 10-15K more new than the G even if you found a used one it would be a lot more than he's wanting to spend.
one other thing about the G - if you buy it from an Infiniti dealer make sure you find out if it was a true lease return / trade in. (Not a loaner or an unknown auction car). There are enough of them out there you should be able to find one with a record of regular service at Infiniti service shops - its really important that with these advanced cars you know the previous owner took care of it. They'll last a long time if they are taken care of but will putter out at about 120,000 miles if they're treated poorly.
