this is an article posted on ESPN.com Insider Rumors

    "
Earlier this week, we mentioned Marc Stein's piece that reported the NBA's new rims may, in part, be the cause of the higher scores so far in the league this season, as there are rumblings they are more forgiving for shooters.
But no one on the Spurs seems to be noticing a difference, reports the Express-News.
"I didn't know," Roger Mason Jr. told the paper. "I really have noticed anything different."
Added Matt Bonner: "The last six or seven times I dunked, I didn't notice anything, either.""

did Matt Bonner just talk about his dunks???? he's talking about practice, right? come on, RR, let's see some of them dunks in the game!

unrelated sidenote: in Korean, the verb 'dunk' is 'dunkshoot'

interesting how the idea of 'point blank' scoring translates awkwardly.

no sarcasm. Imagine Bonner builds some ball handling skills and can finish strong at the rim. He's no longer a great 3pt shooter that you can easily chase away from the line and force him to awkwardly and bashfully penetrate only to quickly give it up to someone who doesn't have a good shot. Jeff Van Gundy said almost exactly that opening night. He gets the inside/out game and little more defense and suddenly 20MPG is awesome, the Spurs play better and everybody shuts the up.

You can't just build those skills(finishing strong at the rim is something that you just have) at Bonner's age..

wow, I wonder why Bonner hasn't thought of this?
