He needs to step up and take more shots!!! We will be solid if he averages atleast 12 points and 6-8 rebouds per and 1-2 blocks.

And Why did we sign him for three years!!! Two should have been enough.

Both of these guys are undersized. We need a shot blocker and someone to plug the paint.

I still want Ratliff, Haislip, or Mahinmi to get some minutes. The Spurs are seriously lacking the shot blocking and rebounding of an athletic big.

I was surprised to see McDyess getting burned by Okur seemingly at will. Something needs to be done.

mcdyess will get better. he wants a ring more than anyone else. he's just going through the motions like kurt thomas and robert horry before him. he's also not undersized since he's only a quarter inch shorter than sheed. his shot blocking just isn't as good.

Dice needs to pass Bonner in the rotation first, and he has to play defense and rebound in order to do that.

he's gone on the record saying he wants to play 2 years and we expect him to play just two.

Dice had a tough game last night. Maybe he is still recovering from his illness. His career has never suffered from lack of effort so I think it will just be a matter of time before he comes around.

Yeah, I find that he is better near the rim, altering shots, put backs, and rebounds. But they seem to be playing him the way they play bonner: Away from the rim for the mid range J instead of the 3 cause that's too far for him. They're trying to use him to spread the floor offensively but I thought the reason why they got him was for his fierceness around the rim. Hope tonight is a little different.

McDyess still doesn't have his game legs under him. He's s step slow on defense and not quite getting the lift he normally does-but all that is normal for him to start the season.

The only thing I'm not liking is his lack of touches. I don't think I've seen him recieve the ball in the post even once since the season's started.

Also, like someone already mentioned, a lot of his shots are coming right inside the three point line which is just outside his normal range. He'll make a few of those but is capable of shooting a lot better percentage one full step and in.

i wasnt fond of this but i think they might need to try and start tim and blair or tim and ratliffi think tim/dice you cant go wrong. because the pistons fan is right we need to give dice that ball, hes not a re like bonner around the rim. w/every move theres a neg.(-) to it, lets say blair/tim well we would get rebounds and good energy but tim would have alot of people guarding him. now tim and dice sounds like the best one to me! because we have our best defense period. we are starting these games w/out energy, i know dice is old but hes still solid as a player. my next subs would be blair and ratliff keeping that D down low while ginobili hill mason hit from outside

Whether he starts or comes off the Bench, he should be posting up. I don't know why we are just using him for mid-range jump shots! As if we don't take enough jump shots already.

    arms.

His standing reach is normal for a big man.

It is 1 1/2 inches more than 6' 10" Blake Griffin.

You don't rebound and block shots with the top of your head, you do it with your hands.

Dice needs to start, and NOW! We need to get him in there, get him fit, and live with his mistakes until he finds his feet in the Spurs' system. He is crucial to our success this year. Anyone who watched him in Detroit knows what he's capable of in terms of D, rebounding, and nailing open jumpers, but he's got to be given the time on the court to adjust to his new time. Do it NOW, Pop.
